Matchday
Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 18, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Matchday collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Matchday mobile game, API, website, and related services at matchday.hrmis.dk.
If you have questions, need support, or want to exercise privacy rights, contact support@hrmis.dk.
Who we are
Matchday is a football manager game where users create and manage fictional football clubs. The Matchday team operates the game and is responsible for the information processed through the service. Some third-party services, such as app stores or sign-in providers, may also process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Information we collect
Account data
We process information needed to create, authenticate, secure, and support your account, such as name, email address, password credentials, authentication tokens, login provider identifiers, account status, and language or notification preferences. Passwords are stored using secure hashing, not as readable text.
Gameplay data
We store game records needed to operate Matchday, including your club, squad, players, tactics, training, scouting, fixtures, match events, match results, standings, transfers, bids, contracts, youth academy activity, economy events, in-game messages, notifications, and progression history.
Generated club assets and logos
Matchday may generate fictional club names, player names, colors, badges, logos, and other game-world assets. We store these assets so the game can display your club and league world consistently. Generated assets may be reviewed, regenerated, adjusted, or removed if they create legal, safety, quality, or moderation issues.
Device, notification, and technical data
We may process IP address, device type, operating system, app version, request logs, error logs, crash diagnostics, security events, and push notification device tokens if you enable notifications.
Support communications
If you contact support, we process your message, contact details, related account information, device details, and the context needed to investigate and respond.
How we use information
- Provide the game, save progress, authenticate users, and keep accounts secure.
- Run leagues, fixtures, training, scouting, transfers, contracts, finances, simulations, and scheduled game events.
- Generate, store, display, and improve fictional club assets such as logos and club identities.
- Send service messages, in-app notifications, and push notifications you have enabled.
- Detect abuse, cheating, automated misuse, security incidents, and violations of the Terms of Use.
- Debug crashes, monitor reliability, improve performance, and maintain the service.
- Respond to support requests, legal requests, and user rights requests.
Legal bases
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process data because it is necessary to provide Matchday under our Terms of Use, because we have a legitimate interest in securing, maintaining, and improving the service, because you have given consent for optional features such as push notifications, or because we must comply with legal obligations.
Third-party services and processors
We use service providers to host, operate, secure, monitor, and support Matchday. Depending on the feature you use, this may include infrastructure providers, app distribution platforms, authentication providers such as Apple or Google, notification delivery services, diagnostics tools, and AI providers used to generate fictional game assets such as club logos. These providers receive the information needed to perform their services for Matchday.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to investigate abuse, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Matchday and its infrastructure.
No sale of personal data or ad tracking
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for third-party advertising marketplaces. We do not knowingly share personal data for cross-app advertising tracking.
Push notifications
If you enable push notifications, we store a device notification token and use it to send game-related alerts such as match results, transfer activity, scouting, training, or account/service messages. You can disable push notifications in your device settings. Disabling notifications does not delete your account or gameplay data.
Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active or as needed to provide the game. We may retain limited records after account deletion where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, backups, financial records, or service integrity. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten.
Your choices and rights
You can delete your account directly in the Matchday app from Settings. You can also contact support@hrmis.dk to request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion of personal data, subject to legal, security, and operational limits. Deleting account data may permanently delete or reset your club, progress, players, history, and other game records. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Children
Matchday is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children who are not allowed to use the service. If you believe a child has provided personal data improperly, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect Matchday data, including access controls, hashed passwords, transport security, monitoring, and operational controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials private and report suspected misuse to support.
International processing
Matchday and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Privacy and data protection laws may differ between countries, but we handle your information according to this Privacy Policy wherever it is processed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Matchday evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing notice in the app or service. Continued use of Matchday after an update means the updated policy applies from its effective date.
